街と店を繋ぐU字型カウンター

弊社が１店舗目から設計を担当しているフルーツ大福のお店「果実ノ華」の４店舗目の計画である。
場所は大阪北区の商業施設NU茶屋町内の1面の壁を背にして2方向が施設内に開放され、1方向が街に対して開放された区画である。

私たちはこの３方向に開放された条件から、街と店を一つの要素で繋ぐことができないかと考えU字型のカウンターを計画した。
通常街に対してはショーケースのようにアイキャッチとなるディスプレイを計画し、店外と店内は分断して考えることが多いが、
U字型カウンターを計画することで街に対してのディスプレイがカーブを描きながらシームレスに売り場となり、
街と店を繋ぎ人を自然と店内に誘うことができると考えた。

カウンターには果実ノ華プロジェクトで固定したデザインコードに沿うマテリアル使いとする一方で、
大福の円形をイメージしたタイルを用い、この商業施設を沢山行き来する若年層に対して少しカジュアルなイメージを持っていただくように計画をした。

U-shaped Counter Connecting the Store With the Community Around It
 
We’re responsible for the designs of each and every Kajitsu No Hana store, sellers of fruit daifuku (a Japanese sweet made of a filling surrounded by soft mochi rice cake).
At the fourth store, located in Osaka’s Kita ward, one side of the store is bordered by the wall of the NU chayamachi shopping complex, two sides are open to the inside of the shopping complex, and the fourth side opens onto the street.
 
We wondered if we could take advantage of the three open sides of the store space to connect the store to the community around it. That’s how we came up with the U-shaped counter concept.
Normally, the side of a store facing the street would feature a showcase or some other eye-catching display, separating the exterior and interior of the store. However, with our U-shaped counter, the display facing the street curves in, blending seamlessly into the store sale space. This connects the store to the community and naturally draws people into the store.
 
Our counter design uses materials stipulated by the Kajitsu No Hana project design code, with tiles evocative of the round shapes of daifuku. The counter produces a slightly casual feel that matches the shopping complex’s young clientele.
